We offer a warm and friendly atmosphere, spacious and comfortable accommodation and great spaces to relax in such as our lounge or sun terrace with panoramic views of Christ the Redeemer, the Sugar Loaf Mountain and Guanabara Bay.
The house has been the site of fashion shoots and TV documentaries thanks to the stunning views of the Sugar Loaf Mountain, Cristo Redentor and the bay from the roof terrace.
Casa 579 has a spacious and comfortable lounge area, and a great choice of accommodation from ensuite single/double/triples through to a larger deluxe shared room. We
are also are very privileged to have some interesting residents in our
grounds…a family of monkeys and a toucan often pop by, see if you can
spot them in the trees from the breakfast table!
Casa 579 is located in Santa Teresa, the beautiful colonial part of Rio. Lapa, famous for it's Samba clubs and home to Rio's nightlife and the downtown business district are a 10 minute bus, taxi or tram ride away and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema are 15 minutes by taxi.
We are also offer more than just accommodation….due to our expert local knowledge (we used to run a travel company), we know what’s happening in Rio and where, from the latest (and best) Samba concerts, Football Matches, Rainforest Walks to actually taking part (not just watching) in the amazing Rio Carnival Parade in full costume, we know how to ensure you have the most authentic travel experience in Rio!
